Lunar Images -
Canon 350D DSLR Camera
Early 2007 saw the arrival of my Canon
350D DSLR Camera. This facilitated Prime Focus Photography
of our Moon. I am hoping to accumulate as many Moon Phases
and events as possible over the next few years using this
method. Location:Waterford, Ireland
Web Cam: Lunar Images - SPC
900NC Webcam
The coloured Lunar images are some of
my first Lunar imaging experiments using a Philips SPC
900NC Webcam c/w a Baader Fringe Killer. The more gray
coloured images are using the LXD75. Images captured as
an AVI then processed with Registax and Adobe Photoshop
7. Location:Waterford, Ireland

Afocal photography using a 3.2 MegaPixel
Digital Camera - early experiments
These are my early experiments with astrophotography
on our nearest neighbour... The Moon. Using a 3.2 Megapixel
Camera, handheld to a variety of eyepieces ranging from
a 14mm SWA to a 32mm Plossl. Needless to say, when viewing
these images at full resolution, I was quick to notice
the shortcomings of this method especially due to the
"shake factor" which was introduced when depressing
the firing mechanism. The addition of a ScopeTeknix Universal
Digital Camera Adaptor ST98, has since helped increase
the "steady factor". Location:Waterford, Ireland
