Solar Images - Afocal photography using a 3.2 MegaPixel Digital Camera - early experiments

These are my early experiments with astrophotography on our nearest star... The Sun. Using a 3.2 Megapixel Camera, handheld to a variety of eyepieces ranging from a 14mm SWA to a 32mm Plossl, using a homemade Solar Filter made from Baader D=5 AstroSolar Filter Foil. Needless to say, when viewing these images at full resolution, I was quick to notice the shortcomings of this method especially due to the "shake factor" which was introduced when depressing the firing mechanism. The addition of a ScopeTeknix Universal Digital Camera Adaptor ST98, has now helped the "steady factor!!"
